Hubertus brewery

The surface of the Sázava River mirrors the graceful building of one of the oldest of Czech breweries, founded back in 1457. The brewery’s heyday came in the early 20th century under the management of the Austrian Emperor Charles I. Back then, the beer brewed in Kácov already bore the brand name Hubertus. The devastation of the building caused by the closure of the brewery buildings after World War II was put right by the current owner, who bought the building in 2001 and resumed the Kácov brewing tradition. Hubertus has become a popular stop for riverboaters and lovers of genuine Czech beer.
